1) What is The Parkdean unlimited Activity Pass?
The Parkdean Unlimited Activity Pass is £65 for a midweek (Monday to Friday), £55 for a weekend stay and £80 for a week long stay. It can be used on any activity as long as you follow the activities guideline i.e if the activity cannot be accessed by anyone under 8 years that rule needs to be followed. It’s also worth noting that this pass is valid only for one person unlike the Ultimate bundle of 16 that can be shared between a family/party.

The Arts Centre has a little Build a bear style set up with two storage shelves of bears that you can select from. Once you’ve selected your buddy you sit down and start fluffing the stuffing from the bag you get. When you have fluffed the stuffing you pull out the the fabric insides from the velcro seal and you start pushing the stuffing into the bear starting with their arms and legs then the body of the bear until you are happy with its ability to hug. When you are happy with its stuffing you seal the bear by yanking the zip tie to seal the bear and then as a second level of security you pull the velcro protector off the velcro and velcro the bear shut. You can also buy outfits for £10 per outfit.
Activity 2 – Making A memory Pottery Painting

This Activity is basically as long as you need it to be. If you have to go away and come back the next day to paint then be prepared to do that. The key thing to remember is that you need to leave your make overnight so that the ceramic paints (Which for those that are more ceramic minded are actually coloured slips) can be baked and sealed in a kiln. The park starts prepping the kiln just after 2 pm so they can be ready for collection the next day. There are 2 shelves of basic free ceramics and the other shelves have ceramics you can pay a little extra to do i.e the large plate costs £14 so you pay the extra £4.
Activity 3 and 4 – Tie Dye
Activity cost: £13 per shirt (£3 supplement charge per item if you have an Unlimited or All Action Pass)
Activity Restrictions:
Activity Length: 30 minuets
Ever wanted to be a fashion designer? Now is your chance with our fantastic tie-dye session. You’ll learn how to create lots of different patterns to make an ink-credible t-shirt design!
Overview:
For the workshop you get a plain white short sleeve t-shirt that you soak in water before you fold, tie, twist, or scrunch and then you select your dye colours. Once you are ready you put the T-shirt on a black tray and then pour the dye over the shirt. After that your shirt goes in a bag for a little bit before the staff wash and dry your shirt for collection. I’ve tried this activity at another Parkdean Resort last year but they used a spray fabric paint and stencils not the Tulip Fabric Dyes used at Trecco Bay. There are plenty of colours in the tie dye selection to make your t-shirt as bright or as colourful as you like. You are given all the equipment you could need including gloves, elastic bands, Plastic apron, and bags to keep your shirt in.
Activity 5- Water Walkers.
Activity cost: £7
Activity Restrictions: Under 8’s must accompanied by a responsible person line with the general pool admission. There is also a weight limit of 15 stone for this activity. For ages 5 years and over.
Activity Length: 5 minuets
Ever wanted to walk on water? Now is your chance with our giant inflatable spheres, how fast can you run – will you be the winner of the race?
Overview:
The Water Walkerz are basically giant inflatable Hamster Balls for humans that let you walk or crawl on water. You get in the ball and then a tube is put in the zip before the fan on the other side is attached and you wait while the pump pushes enough air into the ball to firm it up. If your balance is poor you may struggle with this activity; other than crawling but it is still fun and entertaining to take part in especially with the right staff member. The staff are also very helpful and will make sure you have fun even if it’s just them spinning you around or dragging you around the pool for 5 minuets. Each person is restricted to 5 minuets for health and safety reasons. Further to that if you have some ear sensory issues I would recommend that it might be worth trying some ear loops or thin ear plugs and be prepared for the slight echo inside the ball.
Thoughts of Day?
While my day has been a little calm I’ve also spent a good portion of the day dealing with checking in and unpacking my bags as well as stocking the fridge. I have had several hours of taking part in activities and really can’t pick a favourite activity but I have loved going through the different stations of the Arts Centre trying the three different activities In the centre out of the 5 available from the arts centre. I love the variety of designs in the ceramics and the make a bear activities.
How much do I have left to spend?
After 6 Activities ( I did the Tie dying twice) I have already accumulated £59.50 worth of activities I only have to do another £5.50 of activities. This means I am already nearly at the cost of the pass I still have 4 days of this holiday to go. While I have been limited on the varieties of the activities for the first day there are plenty of other activities for the rest of the holiday. The Monday and Friday of Holidays do tend to have a limited number of activities for people to do because the park is very busy with check ins and check outs.
